10 Free SEO Tools

Tool #1 – Google Adwords Keyword Tool

Where? https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

What? This tool allows you to research keywords. It tells you the approximate average
number of searches per month for a keyword phrase and also suggests similar alternative
keyword phrases.

Why? You need to make sure that your keyword phrase is actually being searched on before
you optimize your website. Optimizing your site for a keyword that nobody searches will
mean that you get very little or no visitors from the search engines.

How? Enter your keyword phrase in the box, choose your language and country (or “all
countries and territories” if your website is not country specific) and submit. Choose “Exact”
from the drop down menu.

10 Cool Ways You Can Use WordPress

WordPress is definitely the hottest platform to build web sites on these days. Officially a blogging platform, it is so flexible that people quickly found many creative uses for it. In assisting my clients and working with Alice Seba, I've often found myself recommending Wordpress time and time again, for a variety of projects. Almost always, it works out well. Sure, depending on the complexity of the project, you can expect some bumps in the road as you would for any software. But rarely have I experienced a dead end. There's always a way to work it.

Before we go into the different uses, you need to know that some of the following suggestions may require advanced tweaking. It is always good to get the input of an experienced developer proficient with WordPress to get a general idea if your ideas may require a lot of work or will run 'out of the box' with just a few simple plugins.

Content Management System (CMS)

An increasingly popular use. With the advent of beautiful themes both free and premium, you can configure WordPress as a system to manage content with multiple categories that can be customized for each category. You can even have multiple authors posting and assigned to different categories.

This may not require special plugins but it all depends how you want to work it. In the past we have used the Bind User to Category plugin to limit authors' ability to post in a specific category.

There are also CMS like plugins that extend WordPresse's functionality so it behaves more like a real CMS. For example, creating 'templates' so that authors are reminded to add special information in each post. Here are some a few plugins that help you do that:

  • Pods
  • Flutter

Niche Blog Host

So this is not exactly using WordPress.org system, but WordPress MU which is the multi user version of WordPress. Using it, you can create a blog host environment much like the way WordPress.com works. Users can sign up automatically for their own blogs and have a blog that looks like it stands alone on your domain. A word of caution, WordPress MU is not meant to be used on a shared host. You can install it but you're going to run out of resources pretty quickly and get a (not so) sweet email from your web host. If you host your site on a Virtual Private Server or Dedicated host then definitely you're good to go.

7 Ways To Turn RSS Into Money

SEO Using Auto-Updating
Website Content

Welcome! Thank you for joining me in this mini-course on making money using RSS feeds. I hope that you'll be able to apply a few of the lessons I've learned over the years to help your websites and businesses grow.

A few of the techniques I'm going to cover require an RSS to HTML converter – a script that takes RSS feeds, turns them into HTML content and inserts it into your webpages. Naturally, I recommend the one I created, which is named CaRP. You can purchase CaRP Evolution here or download a free copy of CaRP SE when you join my mailing list. You'll receive an email with a link to click to confirm your subscription. When you've done so, you'll be sent to the download page immediately.

Once you've installed CaRP or your preferred RSS to HTML converter, you're ready to start using RSS feeds to get auto-updating content for your website. Fresh, relevant content from RSS feeds is obviously going to look good to the people who visit your site. But today, I'm going to talk about maximizing the Search Engine Optimization value of the feeds.

Tip #1: Use relevant feeds

Auto-updating content is an SEO tool in and of itself, because search engines reward sites that are updated frequently. While it's true that search engines may consider old content authoritative, especially if lots of sites link to it, fresh content is also ranked highly because it's current. An added benefit of frequently updated content is that search engines will visit your site more often, so when you post new content or links on a page that is frequently updating...

5 Steps to a Big-Profit, S.M.A.L.L. Report Business

Introduction

Special Report

5 Steps To A Big-Profit, S.M.A.L.L.™ Report Business
By Jimmy D. Brown, Author of Small Reports Fortune™

I must warn you up front - if you continue reading this report, then you may not get much sleep tonight.

I know, I know, everyone seems to have some kind of “earth-shattering” revelation to share that’s gonna “change things forever”.

Earth-shattering revelations aren’t what they used to be, huh?

To be truthful, most so-called “helpful” information should come with an advisory warning label affixed to let you know you’re about to get 3 pages of fluff (fluff being useless, rehashed information) and about 10 pages of sales copy.

Know what I mean?

So, what makes this report different? What makes my claim credible?

In a word –

PROOF.

You may or may not know me, but I’ve been giving away free content online for a LONG time. (Since 1999) I’ve given away more useful content than most so-called “marketers” have been peddling in their paid products.

Ask around. Search Google.com. Or, just read this report and find out for yourself. ☺

  • Yes, I will ask you to consider purchasing my Small Reports Fortune™ course at the close of this report.
  • Yes, I will GIVE you some solid nuggets of information that you can use without forcing you to buy anything.

If you find that offensive, then there’s a little [X] in the upper right hand corner of your screen that you can click on to close this document.

3 Keys To Creating Big Time Commission Checks

Key #1: Capture The Subscriber First.

Welcome to this special report. I'm Jimmy D. Brown and I'll be your tour guide.

We're going to jump right into the thick of things today with a foundational concept that is certainly going to increase the size and consistency of your affiliate commission checks no matter what program you choose to promote.

Key #1: Capture The Subscriber First.

Here's how a lot of people promote their favorite offer...

"They simply advertise their affiliate link and send visitors directly to the website where
the product salesletter awaits."

Two quick questions for you regarding this practice:

  1. Who gets the ultimate benefit?
  2. What happens to those who don't buy?

Think about this for a moment –

When you send a visitor to the salespage, who gets the ultimate benefit of your effort? I'll give you a hint: it's NOT YOU.

The owner of the product does. Why?

"Because if they are any kind of marketer at all, they'll
have a LIST of some kind for visitors to join."

And then they get to promote to that subscriber over and over again. And not just their products, but they can promote other people's products as well.

-------------------
SIDEBAR: To be sure, they'll likely spend the first few follow-up offers to promote their own offer and you WILL likely earn a commission on referrals, everybody knows the real value is in the long-term offers being sent. Any of these future offers that they send promoting other stuff leaves you out of the loop.

Easy Steps to Blogging Stardom - How To Make Money Blogging

Build Your Own Sizzling WordPress Blog – Web 2.0 ready

Step 1: Install Wordpress Blog Software

Download and install latest version of Wordpress (Version 2.2.1 at the time of writing). Use installation instructions available here – no need to duplicate the efforts on my end, when original documentation is very well written.

Step 2: Download and Install Wordpress Theme That Is Web 2.0 Ready

Wordpress has perhaps some of the biggest number of themes available to its users but our goal here is to choose one that will become the backbone of our web 2.0 portal. I know there are lots of opinions when it comes to this topic but I will base it on my own experience as Webmaster and end user. So in choosing a theme I recommend to follow a few simple guidelines, whether you do or not is your choice. I will list parameters as required for Web 2.0 portal and optional.
  1. Widgets Ready – required. This one is a must. Widgets add so many options to make your portal truly interactive that choosing a theme that don’t support it is simply foolish, unless you can modify the theme and make it widgets ready yourself.
  2. Right Sidebar – optional. I prefer right sidebar mainly due to SEO considerations. Search engine bots don’t read page same way as we do and simply see text. What kind of text they see first is going to greatly impact how well your page will rank in search results. Right Sidebar themes tend to place actual content of your posts and pages BEFORE any navigation links, external links in widgets, etc and as such are a better choice.
  3. 3 Columns – optional. I personally prefer this type of layout as it allows you to provide as much interactivity and monetization options as possible without creating a clatter on your site.
  4. AdSense Ready – absolutely optional. And the only reason I mention this option is due to so many bloggers relying on AdSense as source of income. If you do decide to go with this option – I have an article that covers my research in this area right here. You can also see review of 17 AdSense Ready Themes for Wordpress here.

Later in this article I will discuss a plugin that easily replaces this functionality and gives you more options when choosing your theme.

You can find plenty of different themes at the official Wordpress theme viewer site. You can preview each one and see if it’s pleasing your sense of what your site should look like. Use the search options based on my guidelines and your preferences.

Blogging Is The Quickest Way To Get Your Message Noticed Online

Before I explain what blogging is and before I guide you step-by-step how to set up the best type of blog let me first show you why you really should bother blogging.

Okay so you wish to make money online and in order to do that you need to cover three essential factors that are absolutely necessary for anyone to make money on the internet.

Those three factors are:

1. Traffic (i.e., visitors to your site)
2. Effective Sales Copy (i.e., words to convince your visitors why they should buy)
3. Product to sell

HANG ON! That ain’t right! Anybody who’s been involved with internet marketing for any length of time would tell you that you actually don’t need your own product to make a buck on the internet. You can simply promote somebody else’s product utilizing the well known and well practiced form of internet marketing called affiliate marketing.

Fine! So we have now eliminated factor 3 (Product To Sell) as being non essential for you to make money online. What about factor 2, “Effective Sales Copy”?

Okay I’ll be the first to admit that well written copy is perhaps one of the most powerful weapons in your marketing arsenal and when utilized effectively can be devastatingly successful! (It is in fact because of effective copywriting that so many totally lousy ebooks have become Supersellers while far too many excellent ones have gone largely unnoticed. You see, great copy will sell a lousy book but poor copy will never sell a great one).

Blogging 101

Chapter 1 – How Can You Benefit from Blogging?

If you are already maintaining a web site, having a blog can add to, or enhance, your existing web presence. The ability to provide your customers, and readers, with fresh content on a daily, or weekly basis can keep your business running even during lean months. Blogging is also a great way for small business owners, with little web design knowledge, and small budgets to establish a professional, attractive, web presence.
Many designers charge much less for a completely customized blog design and installation than they would charge for complete, traditional, html or flash website design.

When blogging first began becoming popular among businesses I was slow to notice the change. It seemed to me as though more and more of my competitors were shutting down their traditional websites and replacing them with well designed blogs. Other competitors kept their existing websites up, but added links to their websites that sent surfers to there companies newly created blogs. I decided to start learning more about blogging, but I didn’t want to change my entire website format until I was sure blogging was right for me and my business.

I played around with a few different blogging platforms on a personal level trying to find out what all the fuss was about. I set up a small personal blog on Blogger and later a weight loss blog on Typepad. After trying out all of the major blogging platforms I realized that using a blog platform to power my site rather than the current html design could do wonders for my business. In addition to being able to make my blogs look, and feel, professional with little design knowledge, I was also able to easily add photo and text content to these ersonal blogs with no assistance. This was something I would never have been able to manage on my traditional site.

While any of these discovers would have inspired me to turn my existing site into a blog, the deciding factor for me was a confrontation with my website designer. I needed my site updated to promote an upcoming concert my business was affiliated with but the designer would not be available to complete the update until after the concert was over. I immediately began researching how to create my own blog on my own domain so that I would no longer be dependent on a web designer.

Being able to take charge of how, and when, information was posted on my new blog site immediately increased my sales, site traffic, and general interest in my domain. Clients no longer felt that the site would always contain the same, stale information. They knew that in order to catch my latest promotions they would have to subscribe to my blog or bookmark my site to return to it often in order to avoid missing anything
important.

I invested a great deal of time in setting up my initial blog posts and interacting with my clients. In many cases my posts for the entire week were prepared by Monday and published on the blog at set intervals throughout the week. Each and every time someone commented on a blog post I did my best to respond to, or acknowledge these comments. Even if it was just to say ‘thank you for commenting’.
